To a lot of people this isn't a lot of snow. But when you live in Southern California it make a world of difference on the highway. We live in a mountain area with a major highway running outside of town. It is also in a pass area. Between the winds and the snow, they had several accidents happen last night. Luckily my husband was not in one of them. The bad news is he was stranded on Base last night. The highway and back roads were closed due to snow, ice and wind. This morning he tried again only to be stranded in Mojave . Now it's just wait and see. As I write this it is snowing again. It's going to be a long day .
This was taken thru my patio door. It is beautiful. But I would like it a lot better if my husband was safely at home.
I sure hope he gets home safely.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteIs he somewhere that has shelter or stuck in a car?
ReplyDeleteHe headed back to Base and got a room. The roads finally opened at 12 pm.
DeleteI'm glad he was able to get back to Base! That is a lot of snow to me too. We got about 5 inches from this storm yesterday and last night but it's already starting to melt.
ReplyDeleteOurs has started to melt on the streets. Our yard is still pretty deep.
